SPACEWEATHER EVENT
Bursts of magnetic energy from the sun sometimes cause changes to the solar wind, which can interfere with terrestrial 
telecommunications, navigation systems and electrical power 
grids.

Today's modern sophisticated airliners equipment is finely tuned to withstand normal wear and tear, however it would seem allowance has not been made to withstand the severity of a " spaceweather event " .
It would appear these events can occur at or near the phenomenon the " DICKMAN CROSS ".

The sun's reaction is to spike up the solar wind by as much as 35 % which can increase the out put of SOLAR PANELS, cause POWER FAILURES or interfere with ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT on AIRCRAFT.
